At least this captures the rambling part of the title. This is from my 90-minute "Story Time with Uncle Chuck" that was my farewell to my students and colleagues at Great Oak High in 2012. I retold the stories I've told in classes for years since the 1970s in some cases.
Hmmm. I'm at least 15-pounds lighter now than in this photo |
Thank you for taking your time to read my blog. I now offer a Monday blog post on the 1st and 3rd Monday’s of the month. Monday posts do not focus on writing. Their focus is on the writer--that'd be me. You'll find out more about my background, philosophy, theology, points of inspiration, and other topics TBD.
Tuesdays alternating with Monday posts feature blog posts on some aspect of writing. I spend a lot of blog-time on how you can correct/limit my pet writing peeves in your manuscripts. 😉

This is a screenshot of my Amazon Author's page. Click this sentence to go there. All blogs about my books include either this link or they link directly to the books purchase page. Notice that my most recent blog posts scroll across the bottom of this page. If you're an author who sells books on Amazon and doesn't have a blog and an authors page, you need to correct that ASAP! |
In my last blog, I wrote about how to facilitate my social media posting by using a free version of a service called Hootsuite. Check my last Social Media Rambling blog for specifics.
To recap very briefly, I divide much of my weekly social media interaction into days of the week. Mondays are #SciFiB’days. Mondays through Fridays include #SciFact posts, regardless of whatever else is being posted.
Mondays and Wednesdays include blog posts on the Bible Study my Sunday school class is working on at that time. Monday is when I post the questions we discussed the day before. Wednesday, I repost the questions ADDING highlights of the discussion in class that week. Here are the URLs from the last week of September 2018.

I often post a special announcement on Saturdays. #BookBoost is one of those. It is a message that teases the books' content and directs readers to the book's page on Amazon. Here is a sample of a #BookBoost posting.

While shameless self-promotion is not a bad thing on Social Media, overtly trying to sell books all the time is considered untoward behavior—something with which I agree. More on the plethora of #s in the post in a subsequent blog.
Since I’ve veered into Twitter etiquette, I’ll follow that detour in two weeks.
