Expressions of Faith: Mystery

To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
(Colossians 1:27 NIV)

The Hope of Glory is the title Paul uses for Jesus. Two parts.

1. Hope. People often become hopeless due to circumstances. Often, from a worldly perspective, the situation is just that—hopeless.

Paul writes that there are glorious riches waiting for all who accept God's mystery, which includes hope at the foremost.

2. Glory. Circumstances are what they are. However bad our circumstances, the riches of God are ours.

Not always will be have riches on Earth, but they are ours forever in glory!
